Remove a Skin Tag by Electro-Cauterization - What Are the Advantages and Disadvantages

You can remove a skin tag by electro-cauterization. Treating skin tags by this procedure involves the application of electricity to heat an instrument or needle. Afterwards this needle is put in contact with the skin tag in order to burn the cells of such growth.

Basically electro-cauterization involves 7 main steps:

• The area to be treated is numbed by a local anesthetic

• The areas is treated throughout

• The heated needle is put in contact with the skin tag

• The cells of growth are burned

• The physician removes the burned cells

• A specimen may be sent to the lab for further analysis

• A bandage is applied and instructions are given so it will heal adequately.

Treating skin tags by this procedure may be a bit painful. Some discomforts occur both during and after the treatment.

Healing time depends on the healing ability of individual and also on the characteristics of the growth treated.

Advantages of this skin tag cure include:

• It is a quick method

• Generally it is less expensive than other types of surgeries such as laser and cryosurgery

• Usually one session is enough. In the case of cryosurgery or laser therapy you may have to make more than one visit to your physician to treat the same growths.

Treating skin tags with electro-cauterization has the following disadvantages:

• The procedure is quite invasive

• It is painful. Discomforts may also continue for some days after the treatment.

• Healing times may be long

• It may produce some scaring

It is also important to be well informed by a qualified health practitioner if in your particular case it is adequate to remove a skin tag by this procedure.

Electro-cauterization may be unsuitable for some individuals with certain medical conditions such as heart disease and other medical conditions.

If your decide to remove a skin tag by electro-cauterization, be also well informed from a professional physician about certain symptoms that may occur after the treatment since such symptoms may be a sign of infections.

Multiple Advantages Of Skin Creams

Among the cosmetics items, the skin creams are of immense importance and used largely around different parts of the world. Skin creams are there for everyone including men, women and children which protect their skin from getting harsh effects of environment. To protect the skin from roughness, dryness and other damaging factors many types of creams are used. These skin creams not only protect the skin but also provide nutrition and maintains the skin.

Skin creams also help in fighting the early signs of ageing and wrinkles as most of the skin creams contain vitamin E which is best substance for skin. Skin creams lay a protective layer on the surface creating a smooth textured base for the protection. But there are many types of creams which do not suit all skin conditions, so a person must be aware while selecting a good cream which may not lead to any harmful effect.

There are several categories in which skin creams are available ranging from fairness products to moisturizer. Some creams have multiple combinations of fairness and moisturizers which are high on demand. It is advisable that good quality cosmetic products should be used as cheap creams are not that effective. The main criteria which people search in these creams are their effectiveness in their action. Good creams have more advantages than normal used creams and their price is comparatively higher. Everyone wants a well balanced and flawless skin and find that cream which can provide both these effects. Good creams nourish the skin and reveal natural beauty with a glowing skin. There are numerous creams available in this segment and some times creams fail to prove their results so that case there can be many other factors also instead of blaming the cream.

There are many reputed brands which are highly effective; using a good cream can give many advantages.

The most important thing is the proper selection of the creams which suits the skin type, like different cream for oily and dry skin. The cream that is compatible with the skin type yields maximum output making the skin vibrant and soft. If the cream is not suitable with skin then there may be variation in result as it has to overcome many other factors. It gives a joyous feeling when a dull skin develops into brighten and soft skin without any marks or scars like that of television personalities.

All good skin creams are quite expensive and highly priced in comparison with the normal cheap creams. Cheap cosmetic creams are not that efficient in their functioning and many times they are not compatible with all skin conditions. Winters are those times when good cream shows its perfect results as this is the time when skin layers need moisturizing agent to make the skin intact nourished with natural goodness. Good skin creams have perfect moisturizer balance which prevents skin cracks and dryness. Branded skin creams are very effective in their action unlike common low brands which do suit with most skin types. Expensive high brand creams have maximum benefits than common creams.

Human Melia azedarach poisoning.

Phua DH, Tsai WJ, Ger J, Deng JF, Yang CC.

Source

Emergency Department, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore.

Abstract

INTRODUCTION:

In traditional Chinese medicine, Melia azedarach (Ku-lian) is used orally and topically as an antiparasitic and antifungal agent. Although toxicity of this plant has been widely described in veterinary literature, human poisoning is rarely reported. We describe five patients with M. azedarach poisoning who recovered with supportive care.

CASE SERIES:

Five patients were identified retrospectively from the database of the Taiwan National Poison Center at the Taipei Veterans General Hospital. Three cases were on-site patients, and two were telephone consultations from outside hospitals. Neurological symptoms were the major manifestation in four cases: weakness, myalgia, numbness, and ptosis. Treatment was symptomatic and supportive; all patients recovered without sequelae.

DISCUSSION:

It is not known which limonoids are responsible for human toxicity. In the Chinese medical literature, human M. azedarach poisoning is said to occur if six to nine fruits, 30 to 40 seeds, or 400 g of the bark is consumed. Onset of symptoms typically occurs within 4-6 h, but as short as 0.5 h had been documented. In our patients, the onset of M. azedarach poisoning was variable, ranging from a few hours to up to 3 weeks after consumption of the herb.

CONCLUSIONS:

M. azedarach poisoning may result in gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, or neurological effects, and death in severe cases.

Different Advantages Of Skin Cream

Skin creams are extremely important and used throughout the world on a very large basis. There are lots of people who wish to use skin creams, and life becomes extremely difficult as your skin begins to roughen up if no cream is put on it. In order to avoid excessive damage to your skin and provide nourishment to it, these creams are made. The usage of a good skin cream would make sure that your skin remains vibrant and good looking, with a smooth texture to go along with. However, there are several different types of creams that don’t really go along with your skin, often causing skin infections and/or rashes on your skin. Therefore, it is important that you use a skin cream that is good in quality and matches with your skin, or it might just have an adverse reaction on your skin.

There are several types of skin creams, ranging from fairness creams to moisturizing creams. However, most of the creams that are available provide both fairness options as well as moisturizing elements, so you would be treated to both advantages when you buy that skin cream. However, it is extremely important that you buy a good skin cream, because the advantages of buying a good cream are extremely high. For one, you would get a good, smooth skin, and secondly it would make you look good as well. However, if the skin cream you buy is not good and fails to meet up with the requirements of your skin, it could be extremely difficult for you to keep your skin satisfied, and there are several issues that can arise.

However, there are several different types of brands that are available of crams that are made. Using a good cream could bring about a large variety of advantages, because usually it happens is that most people don’t know which cream would suit them or not.

The effects of using a cream that is compatible with your skin are extremely obvious, and in a few days you would begin to see your skin lighten up and become fair. Furthermore, it would not be any rough as well, and you would soon see that your skin would become soft and smooth as well.

It is usually important that you use a cream that is expensive and comes at a higher price as compared to most others, because usually cheap creams don’t go well with normal skins. Especially in winters, skin creams are extremely important because your skin requires a moisturizing agent in order to remain intact, otherwise without a moisturizer use; you would soon see cracks begin to become vibrant in your skin. Therefore, skin creams are important and usually most of the people go for branded skin creams, which is a wise idea because they are known to be compatible with a wide variety of skin types. However, the prices are also quite high, so you must see which skin cream you are buying before making the purchase.

this is a standard scene. i will tag all elements of it. this is bascially us preparing to embark on an absolute dream hike after having left the gorge at el chorro. strangely, in Spain, it appears that all one needs for sustenance is cafe con leche and massive quantities of sugar. this was a pretty righteous hang out in the cool-ish early hours and we also found the first evidence of the popular ice cream/toy Punky in the most local refrigerator. later on loads of old English people dropped by and we ran for it…all the way to the zahara.

What Advantages Does DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction Offer?

Women who have had a mastectomy go in for reconstruction surgery to restore the shape of their breasts.  There are many options available, but the one that has rapidly gained acceptance as the standard of care due to the many advantages it offers is DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction.

DIEP Flap Reconstruction – State-of-the-Art Technique

The DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flap procedure involves autologous reconstruction which uses your own body’s tissue to reconstruct your breast(s). The surgery can only be performed by a plastic surgeon skilled in microsurgery. In the procedure, abdominal fat and skin are harvested, transferred and used to recreate the breast mound. Compared to other methods, DIEP flap breast reconstruction offers many advantages:

•  Long-lasting results: Autologous reconstruction is a better option than breast implants as it uses your own tissue which the body will not reject. Implant risks such as leaks and ruptures can be avoided. DIEP flap surgery ensures long-lasting results.

•  Natural feel: The recreated breast feels and looks like a natural breast. Patient satisfaction is therefore ensured.

•  Preserves abdominal strength: The surgery does not sacrifice abdominal muscle and wall strength. As no abdominal muscle is affected or removed, it avoids the risks associated with herniation.

•  Offers tummy tuck effects: The removal of fatty tissue from the abdominal area offers the patient a sleeker looking tummy.

•  Reduced post-surgery pain: Compared to other breast reconstruction techniques such as pedicled and TRAM flaps, DIEP flap involves less post-surgery pain.

•  Short hospital stay: Recovery is relatively fast and hospital stays are as short as 3-4 days.

•  Suitable for certain sub-sets of patients: This breast reconstruction procedure is suitable for obese individuals, those who have had previous abdominal surgery, physically active women, those with bilateral reconstruction, irradiated women or those for whom other modalities have not worked.

•  Can be performed in conjunction with breast removal surgery: DIEP flap reconstruction can be performed immediately after the mastectomy or when the tissues have healed, depending on the health of the patient.

Thus, the state-of-the-art DIEP flap reconstruction technique provides the best long-term aesthetic results with minimal complications and therefore ensures enhanced patient satisfaction.

In most cases, the surgeon may need to create the areola and recreate or augment the nipple. Symmetry of the breasts is important, too.

The Right Surgeon for Successful Breast Reconstruction Surgery
